Meanwhile, Ricci, Vitale, and Battiston try to get Sannino's killer, who is linked to a woman with a sick daughter, to confess. Following a shooting at the police station, in which a convicted felon dies, Ricci risks suspension. Battiston, to protect her, disappears the incriminating recordings, but she reacts angrily.
