Toni Hamady plans to leave his family's dealings behind and live a life without crime with his wife and daughter. But after a raid, Toni has to react to secure the clan's business base. His short-tempered brother Abbas is no help at all. Only when Vince, a friend from Toni's youth, suddenly turns up does Toni begin to hope again.

After Toni is released on bail, he confronts Abbas about what he has done, and clearly shows him who is the head of the family. Deeply offended, jealous and suspicious, Abbas checks Vince out, but is ultimately forced to conclude that his brother's friend is trustworthy. Meanwhile, Toni initiates a business deal with the dubious Klaus Schiller - and is cheated.

Shortly before a meeting with the Hamadys, Klaus Schiller is arrested. Toni suspects Vince has something to do with the deal falling through, but Vince is able to dispel his concerns and gives him an idea for how to solve the cocaine problem before the Cthulhus can take over Neukölln. Out of gratitude, Toni introduces Vince to the family's enigmatic leader.

After a quarrel with Abbas, Amara goes to Vince for protection, while Toni finds out that his brother had bribed the dead policeman, Robert John. As the dispute between the brothers escalates, Uncle Hakeem suggests to Abbas that he leave Berlin immediately. But when the family leader is attacked by the Rockers, Abbas sees an alternative.

Toni doubts that the Cthulhus killed his uncle, and suspects someone from his own ranks. While Abbas uses the situation to initiate a war with the Rockers and replace Toni as the leader of the Hamadys, Amara finds out why Vince has really come back. When she confronts him about this, he makes a surprising proposal.

Vince is able to defeat Toni in a fight. Instead of handing him over, however, Vince suggests that they get Abbas convicted instead. The condition: Toni must make peace and ensure that Vince can leave Berlin with Amara. But when Toni is kidnapped, Vince is forced to decide between his old friend and the chance of a new beginning.

The past year has left its mark on Toni. While the family's business is doing better than ever, Vince's death has hit him hard. When he forces the influential al-Saafis, his former suppliers, out of business and Abbas' trial ends with a surprising verdict, the head of the family has to fight on several fronts.

To keep the peace, Toni offers the head of the al-Saafi family, Mohammad, a deal, but then Mohammads actions force him to take a drastic step. Meanwhile, Abbas gains a place in the prison hierarchy, Zeki is increasingly frustrated by his status in the family and Maruf meets the female rapper Isha on a delivery, who immediately fascinates him.

When the Chechens attack a Hamady drug delivery on Mohammad's orders and kill a family member, Toni realizes that he has a traitor in his ranks. While this causes Kucha to intensify his investigations, Toni's men ignore Toni's orders and trigger a chain of events that has far-reaching consequences for all the Hamadys.

Mohammad's plan for revenge has unforeseen repercussions because Abbas survives the attack and escapes. Even Toni doesn't know where his brother is. In addition, he is provoked by real estate entrepreneur Matthias Keil and the police is still closely whatching him. Meanwhile, Latif must decide how he will respond to Kutscha's revelation about Amara.

Although Mohammad has brought Kalila's daughter home unharmed, she has had enough of the escalating power struggles and tries to make peace with the al-Saafis on her own. Their initiative seems to be successful when Mohammad and Toni close a deal: Their families are to be joined by a wedding. Meanwhile, Kutscha puts Amara's loyalty to a severe test.

Ewa desperately tries to save Abbas while the police is approaching and Zeki hopes to save his life by spilling information. Meanwhile, Maruf is forced to realize what it really means to be a Hamady. Toni's luck finally seems to be turning, but he has no idea what dangers are lurking behind his back.

Vengeance, power struggles and betrayal: Right before the wedding ceremony, both the Hamadys and the al-Saafis are confronted with the fallout of their actions. While Djamila seizes an opportunity, Latif takes drastic consequences and Toni is forced to put the fate of his family into the hands of an unexpected ally.

Abbas is enjoying the boss life and planning his biggest coup so far whilst finding new partners and expanding the family business. Toni is trying to create a new life for himself in Berlin. But a surprising development in Beirut can change everything… How far is Toni willing to go to help his family?

Old friends and new enemies: Maruf meets two people from his past. Toni tries to pull some strings to influence a decision. Detective Alexandra Winter takes on her new job as Chief Inspector and aims to thwart his plans. Abbas comes to terms with his responsibilities.

Toni's attempted reconciliation goes awry. Abbas gets a tip-off about the traitor, and the brothers are forced to confront one of their closest allies. Abbas is still concocting bigger plans, and Zeki is starting to succeed with his. Amara takes a massive risk, and Maruf makes a fateful decision.

Toni worries about his family. He convinces Kemal to sort things out and makes Latif reconsider his decision, but Abbas won't be dissuaded from his plans. Toni realizes he's missed out on much of his daughter's life. Ewa finds all of her dreams are coming true. Winter receives information that could change everything.

Abbas realizes who's been betraying the Hamady family and confronts the traitor. The situation gets out of hand, and Toni rushes to help him. He wants to protect his brother and his family - one last time - from the consequences of his brother's anger, to finally be able to start a new life. But Toni soon realizes that a deal with the devil can't be so easily undone.

For the Hamady family, it is no longer just a matter of honor and power. Toni's got his back against the wall, and devises one last plan to save his family. Winter goes to great lengths to act on her own threats, whilst aware that a single mistake can make everything fall to pieces. Can Toni save himself and his family, or will he lose it all?
