He has traveled to every city, every town and every outpost in the United States, Mexico and Canada, and has found no one. As he returns to his hometown of Tucson, Phil comes to the realization that he is almost certainly the last living being on the face of the earth.

Phil finds out he's not the last person left on Earth, but things aren't as wonderful as he would have hoped.

Phil's prayers have been answered—sort of—now that he has found the last woman on earth, Carol. He finds himself back among human existence, and somehow engaged to be married.

Phil and Carol are shocked to find Melissa, another survivor, just after Phil reluctantly agreed to marry Carol. Phil finds himself in a pickle and has to work fast in order to save human existence.

Re-population is the talk of Tucson as Phil navigates the choppy waters between Carol and Melissa.

Phil Miller continues to live in Tucson.

The knowledge that Todd and Melissa are having sex drives Phil to manic despair, so Phil arranges a community meeting to discuss grievances. However, his plans go awry when everyone instead agrees that he should clean out the pool he has been using as a toilet. The next day, Phil schemes to leave Todd in the desert to die, but his conscience prevents him from doing so. Todd expresses gratitude to Phil for helping him find his way to Tucson, which motivates Phil to finally clean out his toilet pool and bring an outhouse into his home, much to Carol's delight.

Phil becomes annoyed at all the attention Todd is receiving and schemes to bring the attention back to himself when he finds a stray cow. To do so, he pretends to steal the cow, but when he really does lose it, Todd eventually finds it and allows Phil to take the credit. That night, the group discovers that the cow has apparently wandered up the stairs of Carol's house and is now stranded, causing Carol to officially move in with Phil. In a brief flashback, Carol is seen purposely bringing the cow upstairs.

With Carol now living in Phil’s house and reorganizing his entire life, he asks God for a “do-over” on his entire life, and unfortunately, he gets one.

Everyone is mad at Phil for lying as they refuse to speak to Phil, and he is shunned. Carol also holds a grudge against Erica and Gail. Phil confronts the group and tells the truth about various issues, including the fact that he never wanted to marry Carol. Carol, who is a notary, divorces Phil, then forgives him and invites him back to the cul-de-sac.

Phil Miller continues his life.

The cul de sac decides to have a re-election for the President of the United States.

Phil and Carol reconcile their differences.

Phil and Carol leave on their road trip across the United States, but Carol quickly regrets her decision to leave.

Phil searches desperately for Carol after they’re separated without phones or walkie-talkies.

Carol takes a page out of Phil’s book when she tells a lie from which it is difficult for her to recover.

Phil/Tandy finds redemption when he saves the day.

The population may be small, but it’s still big enough for big, dark secrets.

Tandy and Todd attempt to solve an end-of-the-world power problem.

Re-population becomes a hot topic with the Malibu survivors.

Phil 2 finds himself on Tandy’s level when he causes problems with the group.

Along with most human life, the virus wiped out normal traditions and holidays. As Christmas approaches, Carol spearheads a “Secret Santa” gift exchange to spread some festive cheer.

A medical condition and a marriage proposal leave the group in turmoil.

Mike Miller’s space capsule careening through the sky toward Earth, finally putting him on the same planet as his big brother, Phil. Mike thinks he is the last man on earth, but who knows what or whom he might encounter.

The gang look for closure following a tragic event. Melissa and Todd attempt to deal with the consequences of her surprise proposal.

Carol is back on the campaign for repopulation with Phil, and Todd’s juggling act finally puts him over the edge.

Tandy tries to host a party for the group and Todd’s luck takes a turn for the better.

With little else to do, Tandy starts a prank war within the group. Meanwhile Todd establishes his dominance.

Todd considers doing a favor for Tandy and Carol. Gail's drinking becomes an issue.

As Tandy gets used to having his brother back on Earth, Todd begins feeling left out; Mike discovers more about Erica than the group has ever known.

Phil and Mike grow closer than ever and the whole Malibu group gets a big friggin’ surprise.

The safety of Tandy and the group is in jeopardy as armed intruders storm the Malibu beach near their home, and no one can agree on what to do. While Melissa takes drastic action, Tandy gets a new lesson in fashion.

When Todd suffers from major remorse over recent actions, Tandy tries to lift his best friend’s spirits – even if it requires a few white lies.

Tandy sets up a unique alarm system in the house, but Melissa has already put her own safety precautions in place. The whole group decides to enjoy a change in scenery.

The group's road trip is marred by internal squabbles, but Gail might be the first to lose control.

The search for a new home isn't easy for the group, especially when someone may be deliberately trying to stop them. Meanwhile, the love triangle between Todd, Gail and Melissa starts losing steam.

Tandy wants to learn about Lewis' past, while Carol asks Gail a favor and Todd helps Melissa deal with her mental state.

The gang ventures out in search of what they think could be a new sign of life, but are surprised at what they actually find. Meanwhile, Todd makes a few morbid discoveries of his own back at the mansion.

The gang decides to leave the mansion in Zihuatenajo and find a new place to live, but Tandy has second thoughts.
