Im Se-ra is a superstar at the peak of her fame. Go Hui-yeong, an actress envious of Se-ra’s success, harbours a deep hatred toward her. Beneath her popularity, Se-ra endures a pain no one sees. During a call from Dokgo Cheol, a rookie detective, she finds comfort in him. After a car accident leaves Se-ra in a coma, she wakes up in a world that has moved on without her.

Chung-ja visits her niece to fill in the missing pieces of what happened between her and her sister, Baek-ja.
