Ritu unknowingly catches the eye of Samrat, the school's boxing champion. Samrat warns Anuj to back off from Ritu or else there's going to be a fight. Initially, Anuj is scared stiff but soon he realizes that to keep Ritu as his girlfriend and to save his own face, he must prepare for this mano-a-mano showdown. He's gotta fight for his girl. He just doesn't know how.

Anuj gets prepared to meet Ritu's Gurgaon friends but the whole experience gets sour for him as they end up constantly making fun of him. Ritu tries to console him but they end up arguing and Anuj leaves. What follows is the first major fight between Anuj and Ritu. They end up going to a fancy restaurant in Bhopal but the bill is beyond their expectation. Ritu tries to get the money while Anuj is held hostage at the restaurant.

After dating each other for more than six months Anuj and Ritu have to face what the future holds for them. Anuj's mom finds out about the relationship and grounds him completely for his exam preparations. Ritu has an important decision she needs to discuss with him but they have been completely separated by Anuj's mom. Will their relationship stay intact?

Anuj and Ritu's relationship faces a challenge when Ritu gets admitted to a college in Ahmedabad. Desperate to follow her, Anuj and his friends try to convince his parents that studying in Ahmedabad is the best move. Unfortunately, Anuj's mother catches on to the plot and discovers that Ritu is also going to Ahmedabad. As Ritu and Anuj prepare for the final goodbye, tensions escalate.

Shivangi enters the world of Gutar Gu as Anuj's playwright. Little does she know that this play is Anuj's ticket to meeting Ritu in Ahmedabad and she starts to make a move on Anuj and the real test of his fidelity for Ritu begins. Shivangi and Anuj end up in situations that make Ritu question Anuj's loyalty. Anuj comes clean to Ritu but will she forgive and forget this one mistake?

Anuj lands the final audition for a two-season web show and Ritu surprises him in Bhopal and tells him about an upcoming internship opportunity in Mumbai. If Anuj lands the part both can head to Mumbai together. Ritu declines a major internship in Singapore just to be with Anuj in Mumbai but the latter comes out of the audition without appearing for it fearing his parents will never send him.

Anuj and Ritu finally make it to Mumbai to live out their pehla live-in! But the universe, and mummy ji, had other plans. While Anuj juggles auditions and odd hours, his mom’s mostly home, wondering where he is. Just when things couldn’t get messier, Ritu’s apartment ceiling collapse. With no hotel money and no way she's calling her parents, she turns to Anuj for help.

With mummy ji still around, things at the flat start getting cramped for our favourite couple. Ritu begins house hunting, accompanied by Anuj’s Mom. Meanwhile, Anuj, desperate to send his mom back to Bhopal, ropes in his crew for a dramatic fake emergency call. These antics make Ritu even more upset, and what follows is Ritu and Anuj’s releaization.
