Bagpuss
Mobeen receives a surprise visit from the armed police, who arrest his friend Eight on suspicion of supplying drugs to school children in Small Heath - based on the description of an 'Asian male in jogging bottoms'. The real culprit is Shahid, a local dealer who's enlisted his mum's cousin's cousin - 14 year-old Kareema - to move his gear. But Mobeen refuses to snitch. When Kareema asks Mobeen's little sister Aks to help her hide the drugs from the police, she follows her brother's example. When Mobeen finds out, he has no other option than to go looking for Shahid - but will his actions have more drastic consequences?
Wifey Riddim
When Mobeen learns that his little sister Aks has been suspended from school for fighting, he realises that he might not be the best role model to parent her. So when he bumps into two notorious uncles after Friday prayers, they suggest that an arranged marriage might bring a much needed female perspective into Aks's life. Initially Mobeen quashes the idea, but after reflecting on it with best friends Eight and Nate, he decides arranged marriage might be the answer after all. When Uncle Habib arranges for Mobeen to meet a prospective wife, Khadijah, and her father, things don't quite go to plan - thanks to the unexpected arrival of ‘weird' Uncle Shady.
Upper Room
Eight has gone missing, so Mobeen and Nate go on a mission to find him. On discovering him hiding in an abandoned den deep in a Small Heath wood, Eight reveals that his beloved Dadha is dying and wants to see the boys one last time before he passes to the upper room. When the friends visit him on his death bed, they are disturbed to hear that Dadha has been keeping a dark secret and needs the boys to help him visit the family video shop one last time before he dies. After a terrifying escape, the boys encounter something they definitely weren't expecting.
H-ALTRight
Staring hate, violence and societal fractures in the face, Mobeen and his crew see the far right in their truest form, at an anti-Islam demonstration. After Aks throws a flask and hits the leader Robbie Tomlinson square in the face, Mobeen takes the blame and is arrested. He's then accidentally placed in the same police van as Robbie. As Mobeen and Robbie go head to head inside the van, outside the van (and much to Aks's dismay) Eight and Nate desperately need to go to the toilet but can't escape the police cordon. Eventually they decide to brave the toilet in the only pub for miles around, which is packed with skinheads from the demonstration.
Prom Night
It's Aks's prom night, but will Mobeen let her go? With rumours about the debauchery at previous proms and the threat of a stabbing, Mobeen must safeguard her at any cost. Things get complicated when a classmate of Aks's, Ridwan, makes some very unwise decisions that leave Mobeen very concerned. Eight, meanwhile, is in danger of getting in too deep with a local wide boy and he is potentially going to drag everyone down with him. Can Mobeen manage to keep everyone out of trouble?
Wrestling with the NHS
When Aks breaks her shoulder and heads for hospital with the boys, Accident and Emergency is the state of play. With Mobeen, Eight and Nate looking shifty de facto, the authorities start to get suspicious about how Aks may have sustained her injuries. In the waiting room, we see life in an overstretched A&E, and the gang in a constant battle to prove their innocence, battle prejudice and, of course, keep Pakistani Rain Man (Eight) out of trouble.
Return of the Pack
They say the past is never far away. And for Mobeen, it’s about to punch him in the throat. Cal, an old friend makes an unexpected return to Small Heath, leaving Aks, Eight and Nate very concerned about what this means for Mobeen. Can he stay clear of trouble, or are things about to take a turn for the worse?
Fake News
Dogs and ethnic minorities have a very bad track record. So when a clip involving Mobeen and an Alsatian goes viral, it’s a disaster. Aks is drawn in by the prospect of internet fame, while Mobeen tries to see if the spark between him and Aks’s teacher, Miss Aitken, is worth pursuing. The past finally catches up with our hero, though, leaving him with some very difficult decisions to make. Our season finale will change the game forever.
You Reap What You Sow
After the attack on his best friends and threats against his little sister, Mobeen is armed, dangerous and set for revenge. But can he solve his problems without any bloodshed?
Moving Food
Mobeen is trying to do a good deed by helping out at the local food bank. But juggling this with strict orders from Uncle Khan to launder money could leave him with a deadly debt that’s impossible to pay.
Permanent Exclusion
Mobeen and Aks must demonstrate their commitment to a good cause to prevent her being excluded from school. This involves attending the funeral of Mobeen’s former teacher - but when drug a deal goes wrong at the church, Mobeen has bigger things to worry about.
Boys in the Wood
With a hit out on Officer Harper, Mobeen steps in to try and save his life and take him out of the firing line. Eight and Nate must stall Harper’s assassin long enough for Mobeen and Harper to escape through the woods.
This Is the Ends
Mobeen and the gang must get out of Small Heath, but can he tie up loose ends and guarantee his sister's safety before the police or Khan’s gang take him down?
Gotta Catch 'Em All
Mobeen and Nate are just weeks from the end of their sentence, but Mobeen’s work as one of the prison’s 'listeners' gets him into trouble with a terrifying inmate from another wing - a man known simply as Megalodon. Megalodon is determined to get a transfer to Mobeen’s wing so he can confront him about meddling in his business.
Its Not What You Know
Mobeen has landed himself in the prison infirmary, where he also has a mission – to befriend a man known as 'Memory Stick' and convince him to hand over vital information. In the infirmary, he also encounters a doctor, Nida, and there’s an instant spark between her and Mobeen. Nida also suggests she can help Aqsa with a placement for her medical degree, which she is thrilled with. Aqsa also receives some characteristically unhelpful advice from prison chaplain Uncle Shady.
For the Many, Not the Few
Megalodon is now on Mobeen’s wing, and Mobeen must avoid him at all costs – which means trying not to leave his cell. Harper instantly makes Mobeen leave the cell to go and see Dr Nida. Nida now has Aqsa working alongside her, and has even managed to secure her an international placement in the UAE. But despite avoiding Megalodon, Harper and Mobeen fail to get any more information about Memory Stick.
Death Row Records
Megalodon throws the prison into a full-blown riot. Mobeen, Nate and Harper split off into different groups. Mobeen is concerned with Dr Nida’s safety, while also keen to keep Memory Stick on side. Uncle Shady ends up with Memory Stick, with both of them desperately trying to evade Megalodon and a wing full of rioting inmates.
Tainted Love
Mobeen’s plan to get to Aqsa goes wrong, but before he can accept Uncle Shady’s drastic solution, a familiar face shows up with an offer of their own.
No Diggity
Nida offers to get Mobeen a fake passport if he can steal something from the Turks. Will help from Uncle Shady and his big drill be enough to pull it off?
Turkish Delight
Tensions run high as the gang debate what to do with the stolen money. Jerry reveals his true colours, Emre investigates the theft, and Uncle Shady offers Mobeen a lifeline.
Boy Like Mobeen
On a plane alone, Mobeen recounts how it all started, with his teenage memories of the first job he did for Khan and the beginning of his brotherhood with Nate and Eight.
The Curse
In Turkey, Istanbul offers many distractions, and Mobeen struggles to keep the gang focused on their mission to rescue Aqsa and kill Khan.
That’s Life
Mobeen and the gang face Khan in a final showdown. Can Mobeen save Aqsa and his friends to get back home to the ends?
