A strange man is found by a girl and her family and nursed back to health. He appears to have lost all of his memories, and can't seem to remove a mask of bone affixed to his forehead.

The Queen of the forest, Mutikapa, is angered and begins killing some of the townspeople. Hakuoro works with the others to figure out a way to defeat it.

Tusukuru is thought to be missing from the village though is later found offering aid to a young girl with a strange affliction.

Tusukuru is inadvertently killed and members from the village go on a mission to kill the feudal lord responsible.

Hakuoro takes over command of the station which he captures, beginning to strategically lead a large-scale rebellion. When rallying troops to rise up against the oppressive government, however, he runs into Benawi, the empire's Samurai leader.

Hakuoro gains more men at his command and once again has a battle involving Benawi and the men he commands.

Finally, Hakuoro's small army reaches the castle of Emperor Inkara, to find, when they arrive, that he had already died by Benawi's blade. After this, Benawi and Kurou join Hakuoro.

Several Onkami come to Hakuoro's castle as arbitators and to gather more information on his new country Tusukuru.

As the large country of Shikeripetim threatens invasion, Hakouro devises a cunning plan to hold off Shikeripetim's emperor, Niwe, and his far superior military force.

A powerful mercenary is brought to the castle and held captive until she is able to show her worth as a fighter and joins Hakuoro's army.

Kuccha Keccha attacks Erurū's former village and massacres the inhabitants. In response to continued attacks, Tusukuru is forced to declare war with them.

Kuccha Keecha turns out to be a more formidable opponent than originally anticipated, more so now that they have the support of the Evinkuruga Touka. Hakuoro tries to find another way to attain victory.

Hakuoro's plan to defeat the Kuccha Keccha succeeds and he confronts Emperor Orikakan; the result of their encounter however, is quite unexpected.

More helpless villages in Tusukuru are attacked by Niwe, the emperor of Shikeripetim, as he advances through the countryside. Hakuoro hatches a desperate plan in order to defend his nation.

A final decisive battle between Hakuoro and Niwe begins in Shikeripetim's capital.

Hakuoro is still haunted by what Niwe said to him and has nightmares about it. Later a duel between Benawi and Oboro takes places to see how strong each is. Near the end of the episode, Hakuoro is introduced to another emperor named Kuuya.

Kuuya and Hakuoro have a long talk alone about the world they live in and the state of affairs. Later, Oboro is suffering from a hangover and must take Erurū revolting medicine in order for it to pass quicker. Also, the trader from before comes back to sell them a Mikyūm which is a rare and extremely valuable animal. Finally, Hakuoro has yet another private discussion with Kuuya where he discovers that the masked emperor is in fact a young girl.

Karura's younger brother Derihouri is leading a revolt in a neighboring country though his small army is no match for the force he is trying to oppose. It will take the aid of Hakuoro, Karura and the several others to overcome the emperor.

Derihouri, with the aide of Hakuoro and his party and a secret from Karura's past, infiltrate the capital of Nan-tunk, only to discover that the Kenam rebellion was formed with ulterior motives.

Kuuya talks again with Hakuoro. Later she reveals her plans of war with the other countries. Thus Hakuoro is left with the decision to help her or not. Hakuoro tries to dissuade her, but to no avail.

Kuuya, convinced by her bloodthirsty advisers, starts a war against every nation in order to unite the whole continent. Soon the war reaches Hakuoro's empire. The avu-kamuu of Kuuya seem unstoppable, and Hakuoro decides to evacuate the capital.

As the forces of Emperor Kuuya descend upon Tusukuru's capital, Hakuoro realizes that the evacuation is going to take longer than they have, and so decides to sacrifice himself to draw their attention away. However, Aruruu isn't prepared to let this happen, and shows up riding Mukkuru. The immortal Mutikapa is able to attack the Avu-Kamuu without being hurt, but Aruruu is hit with a single blow and died. However, the pool of blood growing behind Aruruu begins to bring back Hakuoro's memories, and new questions start arising in his mind: What is he? What unknown powers does he harbor?

The first heavy defeat in battle with Kuuya in the previous episode slows down the war. In the next, relatively calm, days Hakuoro remembers some of his past. Who really is the Iceman? Why does this "Mikoto" in his memories resemble Erurū so much? Genjimaru leaves Kunnekamun since he knows they are on a path to annihilation. He joins Hakuoro offering his guide for the armies. Genjimaru seems to be betraying Kuuya, but he acts this way since he wants to save her from the war. Understanding that, Hakuoro accepts his help. The first step is unite all the rebels left by Kunnekamun's passage. In order to do that, Hakuoro arranges a mission to rescue the Oruyankuru. The old man is saved, but then he declares that Urutorii is the new Oruyankuru and retires.

With the help of the rebels and Genjimaru's military command the Tusukuru empire stops Kunnekamun and soon turns the tables of the war. Inside the castle of Kuuya the final battle ensues, but there are more factions at work than just Tusukuru and Kunnekamun...

The episode begins with the fate of Kuuya being revealed. Hakuoro rushes to Onkami Yamukai to rescue Kamyu, but all is not as it seems. Hakouro's true identity is confirmed and he remembers more of the Iceman's heartbreaking story.

After a climatic battle and the final pieces of Hakouro's past being revealed, Hakouro makes a very difficult decision that will forever have an impact on the future.

A young man, with amnesia, finds himself in a foreign world where people with animal ears and tails live. But, being that this world has monsters, and isn’t a modern society, he finds himself reliant on his assumed guardian to survive.

The village is under attack by monsters called gigiri, small insects with nasty claws. Haku and Kuon go with a group of mercenaries to help wipe them out, but get more than they bargained for when they run into a boro-gigiri, a monster that's over 30 feet tall.

Haku and Kuon travel to the capital, but their journey is interrupted by a bandit attack.

Having reached the capital, Haku and gang look for work... but not before partying. That's when a girl named Nekone appears before them, and she's actually Ukon's little sister.

Haku's busy days of working hard in the mornings and afternoon and studying at night are wearing down his mind. However, his hard work pays off when he's finally given a vacation. With his freedom and a little money, he sets out to the capital.

The inn where Haku's staying, the Hakuroukaku, is known for its beautiful owner. She sends him a letter and invites him to a banquet. He goes, but...

The emperor of Yamato holds absolute loyalty from his subjects. And his daughter, Anju, has her birthday approaching. Hakuroukaku finds itself with a strange visitor. Kuon's eyes shine coldly at this selfish young girl.

A lone passenger ship set sail in the night fog. It turns out to be a hub for illegal gambling.

A messenger arrives at Yamato, claiming he's from a land beyond the eastern sea.

Anju is in love with Oshutoru, the royal general. But because she is the imperial princess, she can't fall in love like ordinary people do. Kuon and the others try their best to help her.

The princess has decided to pretend to be kidnapped, in hopes that Oshutoru will come and save her. She enlists Nosuri's help and Haku is forced to help too. But Nosuri has no idea who she really is, and when Oshutoru comes, Haku is forced to face him alone...!

For his services in saving the princess, Haku is invited to the palace and given an audience with the emperor. He is gifted two girls who are called the Priestesses of Chains. But he doesn't realize the deep meaning they possess.

Yamato is threatened by a barbarian invasion from the north, but the town doesn't seem worried at all. The eight pillar generals mount a counterattack, and Haku finds himself dragged along.

The invading forces are taking Yamato citizens hostage and using them as front line troops against the Eight Pillar generals. Rurutie and Haku go on a dangerous mission behind enemy lines to release the hostages' loved ones.

The ancient power of the masks is brought down to bear on the invading Usuurussha armies. The armies are torn apart by the power of the Eight Pillar Generals, but is the cost to Yamato's own citizens too great?

After returning from the war, Haku is deeply depressed. The girls all offer him gifts to cheer him up, but it doesn't help. So all the men decide to have a massive banquet and drink together. It gets out of hand and everyone starts taking off their clothes..

The truth behind Haku's past is revealed. What is his connection to the emperor, and to the mysterious and powerful masks?

The Emperor has declared war on Tousukuru, and Haku is summoned to join the fight. Will Kuon be willing to fight against her homeland?

The war against Tousukuru is going poorly, and Haku is sent with reinforcements. Munechika turns to him to come up with a plan to break the stalemate.

Haku comes up with a brilliant plan to attack the fortress where the Tousukuru provisions are stored. But he's discovered by a general who's as powerful as his entire group combined!

The Emperor is dead, and now his daughter must take his place. But the Eight Pillar Generals have other ideas. She is poisoned and Oshutoru is blamed for the killing. Will Haku be able to make it in time?

The emperor is dead, and Anju has been poisoned. Oshutoru takes the blame for the crime. Haku mounts a daring plan to rescue him.

The chase is on as Haku attempts to smuggle Oshutoru and Anju from the capital. But will he be able to flee the combined might of the eight pillar generals?

The race is on to escape the capital as the rest of the Eight Pillar Generals seek Oshutoru's death. Burai corners Haku and his friends, and the only way to survive is for a wounded Oshutoru to use the power of his cursed mask.

The princess and the rest of the group have successfully fled to Enna-Kamui to ready themselves for the coming civil war. Oshutoru and Nekone arrive later, bearing bad news: Haku is dead.

After their flight from the capital, Anju is poisoned, Oshtor is dead and Haku has taken his place. Now Haku must rebuild their army and protect Anju, while keep his identity secret from his friends.

As Kiwru and the forces of Oshtor's guard race to Ennakamuy, Haku and his new army must rush to aid them.

Haku faces his first real test, as Dekopompo moves against Ennakamuy. He's bringing thousands of troops with him, and a familiar face as well...

Kuon wakes up back home in Tuskur, with no memory of how she got there. Remembering, though, won't help her save Haku.

Haku is visited by a mysterious merchant who claims to be sent by Kuon. And Mikazuchi, the Imperial Guard of the Left, pays a visit to Ennakamuy as well...

Kuon challenges Anju, who she believes to be a spoiled brat that has no right to rule Yamato.

Kuon does her best to batter Anju into submission so that she'll remain in Ennakamuy instead of trying to retake Yamato.

Kuon comes back to Ennakamuy, this time as the friend they all love and know.

The party travels to Rulutieh's homeland, where one member of her family doesn't want her to leave.

The party goes to visit Nosuri's home, where one of the Eight Pillar Generals wants to ally with them.

Tokifusa corners the party in the Great Canyon near Ennakamuy and tries to kill them to get back the Golden Seal.

In their battle to liberate Nakoku, the party finds themselves against a foe they never expected to face.

With Nakoku safe, the party heads home to Ennakamuy for the next stage of the war.

The party takes a breather before the final battle begins for control of Yamato.

As the battle with Raiko and the forces of the court begins, Haku will have to do whatever it takes to survive their onslaught.

Haku battles Mikazuchi as their armies clash on the plains before the capital city.

The battle between Haku and the court's forces comes to a shocking conclusion.

The Yamato civil war comes to an end as Raiko makes one last stand.

With the civil war over, Haku is tasked with setting out on a new journey.

Haku heads to Tuskur, where he meets the princess of the kingdom.

Woshis's drive to attain ultimate wisdom comes at a terrible price for the whole world.
