Sahil Sarabhai decides to run away from the house to Goa. There he meets a writer who decides to write a book on it. As Sahil tells him his problems, the Sarabhai family is introduced. Finally to tell his family his woes, he gives them the book to read. But they don't improve.

Monisha and Maya's birthday falls on the same day and both want to go out with Saahil. Saahil decides to have dinner with Maya and lunch with Monisha. When Indravadan sees that he is getting away with the situation, he convinces Maya to change her dinner plan to lunch. Saahil then lies to Monisha that Maya has hallucinations issues and tells her that he is seeing a doctor for lunch. Indravadan then lies to Monisha about the doctor being a murderer and takes Monisha to Zodiac Bistro where Saahil is with Maya. Saahil tries to get an actor to play the doctor and Indu asks the real doctor to go to the Bistro. Lot of confusion arise and the lunch is ruined. Finally Indu-Maya and Saahil-Monisha go for dinner.

Monisha and Indravadan are very excited about watching final at Wankhede Stadium, but Maya does not approve of it because of their middle-class slogans. Desperately, Indravadan tries to steal the tickets from his friend Jayant by inviting him to dinner. Maya finally gets two tickets. Indravadan eats paani puri and then gets Diarrhoea. Monisha fasts for his recovery. Maya bets with Monisha that it won't work. They bet the ticket. Finally the match is postponed, which enables Indravadan to go to the match. When Monisha claims that she has won the bet, Maya refuses to accept it. They argue about it.

Maya's friend Sarita mentions that her husband is cheating on her. Then she remarks that Indu and Saahil are parrots and will never cheat. Monisha wants to prove that Saahil is a tiger and not a parrot. Meanwhile, Indu is having an affair with a woman who he talks to using a secret mobile. Saahil's colleague flirts with him. Soniya predicts a woman in Saahil's life. Monisha investigates and catches him with Kiran a.k.a. Shama. Maya finds the mobile and the woman. They fool them by saying that they were fooling them to just show a glimpse of what a tiger would do. They are satisfied.

Rosesh is participating in a stage play written by Jaimin. Maya invites a critic for the play reading. Indu steals the script and makes inappropriate modifications using the gardner, servant and watchman. But the critic loves it. So Maya gets the gardner, servant and watchman to write the second act of the play.

Maya's uncle Popat lal is sick, so she decides to go to Los Angeles to see him. Monisha gets excited because of some discount sale in the malls of LA. Saahil isn't able to travel because of a police case filed by a patient. Rosesh's visa gets rejected. But before they can travel, Popat Lal dies. Maya decides to arrange a shradhanjali, but due to Monisha's old food, her throat gets sore. She is upset. So Monisha gets her Jalandhar Baba's well's water. After that she totally loses her voice. Finally Monisha sings at the Shradhanjali instead of Maya.

Maya and Indravardhan have a tiff. To please her, Indravardhan buys her an old wooden wardrobe from a kabadiwala. Maya is disgusted and wants to throw out the wardrobe, which upsets Indravardhan. Saahil assures him that Maya loves him. To prove it, he asks Indu to hide. When Indu is found nowhere, Maya becomes upset and calls Sonia to check Voodoo chart. Finally because of Saahil's repeated singing of the same song, Maya finds the truth. To teach Indu a lesson, she calls and stages a drama with Kashyap where she plans to run away with him. Finally Indu comes out of the Wardrobe.

With Maya and Monisha away for a day, the men decide to have a 'boys day in'. Indravadan calls a party organiser, who lands up at the Sarabhai residence with two exotic dancers!

Monisha ends up sending an empty lunch box to Saahil's office. He is annoyed. To please him she make him a meal, which is horrible. When he talks about that, she gets angry and fights with decides to leave the house. To teach her a lesson, he hires an actress to play a sexy maid. When Monisha sees the maid, she becomes very jealous and agrees to keep the house clean and take care of the other responsibilities also.

Maya challenges Indravardhan to a Scrabble competition when he makes fun of her when she wins a competition. Indu trains with Saahil's help and finally wins the competition.

Maya's sister, Vidheesha is coming to Mumbai. Monisha forces her to stay in her house. Maya wants to clean Monisha's house and plots to enter her house. Indu hears her and asks Monisha to spoil the plan by doing pest control. Finally Maya fakes illness and moves to Monisha's house. Indu fakes her report to scare her. Finally Vidheesha cancels her plan and Maya moves back to her house.

Roshesh falls in love with a high society girl, Maggie, who likes her pet more than Rosesh. She is vegan and Rosesh decides to do as she says. Maya is upset and then scolds him. Rosesh fights and leaves the house. Finally they broke up due to some issues with the pets and Rosesh returns home.

Maya and Saahil play a prank on Indravardhan. Saahil helps Indu to prepare a drink and it is served to Dinesh who visits them for a chess match. Dinesh drops dead and everyone blames Indu for it. Ila behen, Madhu Phoopha and Sarita arrive, they try to hide that fact that Dinesh is dead. When everything fails, Indu gets very tensed and Maya tells him that it was just a prank.

Maya treats Indu like a child and belittles his attempts to be romantic. While jogging, he meets actress Cookie Sharma. He is attracted to her and invites her to lunch. He tells Saahil that he is falling in love with Cookie. Saahil asks him to speak to Cookie. Indu discovers that Cookie sees him as her father. Heart-broken he comes home. Meanwhile Maya discovers hidden cookies at home and is upset with Indu. When he comes home, she asks him about Cookie, but he thinks she has found out about Cookie. Finally, Indu realizes that she is talking about Cookie and tell her that he needs some romance in their life. She agrees.

Soniya makes a prediction about a woman's death with name starting with 'M' by 6:00 pm. The person will associated with glass and something black. Both Maya and Monisha are terrified.

Rosesh, his sleeplessness and his untimely violin sessions disturb everybody to the point that Sahil makes him see a psychoanalyst. One day, Rosesh disappears and returns in a wheelchair! What happened?

Maya believes that men don't remember important dates while Monisha disagrees. They place a bet and put their theories to test on Indravadan and Sahil. Who will win the challenge?

Saahil buys a brand new Coyote car and Monisha and Maya fight to drive it first. On Indu's suggestion, Monisha takes out the car without telling Saahil and does an accident. Maya wanting to drive first cooks up a story about a sick child to drive the car. Rosesh while practicing for a beggar's role drops his lotta on the car. For the damage done by Monisha, Saahil blames Rosesh. Monisha confesses and Saahil forgives her.

Indravadan has borderline cholesterol problem and it is up to Maya to make him lose his flab and cholesterol. Maya forces him to exercise and Indu tries to get out of it. Finally he decides to work-out and becomes a health freak.

Maya explains to Dushyant how Saahil and Monisha met and how they fell in love and married. Saahil meets Monisha when asks for a lift. Then they become friends. But Maya arranges for Saahil's marriage with Sarita's daughter Priya.

Maya is narrates how she had to be convinced by Sahil about his feelings for Monisha. It is Indravadan’s encouragement that prompts Sahil to propose to Monisha who breaks off with her fiancé.

Monisha and Maya do not think twice about reading Sahil’s personal diary and find that he has written about a woman called Dinky. Sahil evades Monisha’s questions about Dinky. Who is she?

The Sarabhais face the prospect of their house being demolished and are unable to find their lease papers. They resort to a séance to connect with Baa. With Monisha as the medium, will it work?

Monisha seems to be possessed by the spirit of Baa and imposes her will on the family. But Maya smells something fishy! With Monisha out of the way, she plans Sahil's second wedding.

The celebration of the International Family Week sees a whole lot of cousins coming together. This also gives an opportunity to Indravadan and he plans to invite two of Maya’s cousins as well.

Maya's cousins Hansa and Himanshu, along with their family come over to meet her and Indravadan. Maya is taken aback by their weird behaviour. Indravadan tells her that there's more to them than meets the eye.

In a bid to gain some mileage, Maya invites Baldev Singh, a political adviser and his wife for dinner. This is because Baldev Singh has spoken about electing Maya as president of the Mumbai Cultural Society.

Rosesh and Indravadan never seem to have a steady relationship. Their new found friendship is shaken once again when Indravadan upsets Rosesh greatly while flirting with his girlfriend.

The Sarabhais are taken for a ride by a woman called Sunehri. Unfortunately, this woman escapes with a lot of money and jewellery. It is only much later that the real Sunehri emerges.

Monisha damages Maya’s phone but her plan to get Dushyant to repair it is met with resistance. Everyone recalls Dushyant causing a blackout. Inadvertently, Indu reveals to Dushyant that Maya’s phone is not working!

Maya and Monisha are irritated with Indravadan and Sahil for going to bed without talking to them. Sahil tells the family about being hassled by his patient, Nilima, who has even lodged a complaint against him.

Maya has many adventures after Radhabai and Vitthal resign. While one maid steals Rosesh’s watch, another turns out to be the child of Maya’s former servant. Will she call them back?

Tired of playing mother and housekeeper, Maya decides to go out and when she returns, she has invited an upcoming artist, Sudhanshu, to her house, whose exhibition she went to see.

Indravadan does his best to stop Maya from going to Sudanshu’s island. Unfortunately, he chooses this time to play a prank on her and this irritates her. Will Maya leave him once and for all?

Maya dupes Indravadan into drinking milk and this leads her to play a game of checking out rational behaviour with Monisha. It involves getting Sahil to refrain from eating sweets.

Maya is worried about Monisha’s speech at an event organised by Baldev Singh. Rosesh goes to the extent of saying that Maya must bribe Monisha so that she does not deliver her speech.

Sahil has got a big offer in Delhi. Sahil living far away from her and closer to Monisha's family upsets Maya and she goes to the extent of faking cancer to make sure he cancels the trip.

Rosesh makes it through a movie audition while Sahil's work is appreciated among his peers. When the family ignores Sahil's achievement, he lists out the dangers of being in the movie business. Is he jealous?

Monisha bemoans the lack of romance in her life and soon, the whole family finds out about this. Dushyant and Maya step in to try and resolve Sahil’s problem. Will they find a solution?

A hypnotist. Dr. Siddharth, is the guest of honour at the Sarabhais’ party. However, Indravadan’s scepticism annoys the doctor. So, he takes revenge by putting Indravadan under his spell!

Maya and Sahil try to stop a sari-clad Indravadan, who thinks he is Maya, from going out. Maya speaks to Siddharth to get Indravadan out of the hypnotised state. Has Indravadan learnt his lesson?

Maya challenges Monisha to a game of antakshari. Indravadan urges Monisha to accept the challenge. Despite throwing down the gauntlet, Maya is anxious about losing the game to Monisha.

Baldev and his wife, Sarupa have marital problems and only Maya supports their decision to go ahead with a divorce. The rest of the family members try and mend things between the couple.

Rosesh is kidnapped. As the family fight over the ransom amount, Rosesh, even after being presented with the chance to come home, elects to stay with the kidnappers. Why?

Monisha is a millionaire suddenly after her rich uncle bequeaths all his possessions to her. A jealous Maya asks Monisha to give it all away to charity!

An impromptu play gives Indravadan the opportunity to win a lot of appreciation because he has refused Sahil’s help. One of the characters is a dead body and this is to be enacted by Madhusudan!

Indravadan wants to revisit his good old bachelor days as his gift for his 55th birthday and is joined by Sahil and Rosesh. This leaves Maya and Monisha free to enjoy the day as spinsters.

The Sarabhais have to deal with Sharman who is facing imminent arrest. Chaos is ensued as they help him hide from the police. Ho will Madhusudan's arrival affect this?

Rosesh pretends to be married with a child as Maya plans on a big wedding for him. She tells the family the truth only when they are trying to chase Rita, Rosesh's 'wife' and the kid out.

It is nostalgia time for Indravadan and Maya as someone is writing a book on their marriage. Maya recounts how she loved Indravadan’s poems and how these two got married.

Rosesh writes an ode to Monisha's pet goldfish, which she has named after Maya. When both the mother and the wife stand in the society elections, Sahil is left dangling between them.

Rosesh comes upon a letter written by Maya for Indu, talking about her disinterest in having a third child. Saddened by the feeling that he was unwanted, Rosesh puts himself up for adoption.

Monisha wins a contest and gets to spend time with actor Karan aka Patang Kumar. This annoys Sahil, especially when he comes to know that Monisha has accepted an overnight cruise with Karan.

Indravan mocks Rosesh’s poetry. Maya challenges him that Rosesh will win the poetry contest at the Art and Poetry Club Annual function, which is to be judged by Anirudh aka Kachcha Kela.

Monisha dreams about Maya having temporary amnesia. What makes the dream even more pleasant is her apparent cordial relationship with Maya. Will her dream ever come true?

Monisha tells Pratibha about Rosesh causing an accident and this invokes Maya's wrath. The presence of social activist Manisha scares the Sarabhais. Can Madhusudan help them out?

Sahil is angry after Indravadan insults him in front of guests. Monisha strives to resolve the rift between the father and the son, but fails until Rosesh comes to the rescue.

Indravadan is thrown out of the house because of his sarcasm and can go back only when he meets Maya’s conditions. Monisha tells him that he should either submit to Maya or confront her.

Maya's sister Nayesha decides to marry Monisha's cousin, Jugal Kishore and also urges Maya to learn Punjabi. Indravadan tries to reason out Jugal’s love for Nayesha to Maya.

Indravadan and Rosesh have an interesting bet about the former’s ability to make Maya doubt Indravadan's fidelity. Even after Rosesh spilling the beans, who will Maya believe?

Rosesh falls in love with a girl called Youyou. Youyou’s mother, Simple Killawala turns out to be a step ahead of Maya and wants Rosesh to stay with her post marriage. What will Rosesh do?

Maya is ecstatic when Rosesh returns home. Rosesh's blunders with the Killawalas upset the family. They start looking for a perfect bride for him.

Madhusudan foists his niece Kissme on the Sarabhais. Seeing Kissme bonding with Rosesh upsets Maya. One day, Kissme disappears into thin air, leaving everybody worried.

Indravadan dreams of Yamraj and is convinced that he is about to die and it seems even Maya cannot comfort him. Yamraj does appear and does not listen to Maya’s pleas of sparing Indravadan.

Maya and Monisha want to go with Sahil to a private party hosted by a famous cricketer and Sahil is forced to conduct a treasure hunt. Maya cheats but will Sahil fall for her antics?

Maya does not take kindly to Monisha’s food stall at the Mumbai Marathon and goes to the extent of telling Sahil that he should either divorce Monisha or make her sophisticated!

A fight between Monisha and Sahil fills Monisha with ideas of suicide and she even tells Rosesh about her final wishes. Rosesh writes a poem for Monisha. But this irks Maya.

It is a magical time for the Sarabhais because of the Midas Chant which makes whatever Sahil say come true. Rosesh is inspired to write a story about this.

An astrologer foresees either Rosesh getting married within the next month or waiting for 51 years. This prompts Maya to place a matrimonial advertisement, leading to a barrage of girls visiting them.

Upset about the prediction, Rosesh declares that the astrologer is a fraud. Monisha gets the family to meet another astrologer whose crystal ball makes some interesting revelations.

The Sarabhais are back and stuck in a bus, thank to a sticky situation Monisha has got them into! So what exactly happened to the family in these seven years and will Rosesh's heart go 'beat beat' with the entry of Jasmine Marvani?

The Sarabhais reach Matkadhar Baba’s samadhi and what follows is a chain of crazy things! Whoopie, Rosesh can now finally marry Jasmine but will Maya let him?
