Episode 1
Iwu and Cake are childhood friends, so close they feel like they are everything to each other. They believed their relationship was perfectly normal, but upon entering middle school, they realize others don’t see it that way. As a result, Iwu begins to distance himself from Cake at school.
Episode 2
Iwu stays over at Cake’s house and discovers that Cake has been chatting with senior Rin. The next day, Iwu catches a cold after getting caught in the rain and misses school, but thanks to Cake’s devoted care, he recovers.
Episode 3
Now in high school, Iwu and Cake are given mobile phones. Iwu has no particular friends he wants to contact, but Cake becomes engrossed in messaging Rin, leaving Iwu feeling neglected. During this time, the school camping trip begins.
Episode 4
Iwu struggles to sleep, troubled by Cake’s long phone calls with Rin. Sensing this, Cake reassures Iwu that he will always be important to him. One day, while waiting for Cake, Iwu is approached at the bus stop by a boy named Thunder.

When Cake gets drunk with friends, Iwu comes to pick him up, worried. They finally confirm their feelings for each other and start dating. Though Iwu is worried about how others will see them, Cake doesn’t want to hide their relationship.
Episode 13
Cake and Iwu are madly in love, both on campus and in the dorms. When Iwu returns home for the first time in a while, he finds his mother collapsed and learns she has cancer. Surrounded by Hom, Pao, and friends, Iwu stays by her side. Cake vows to be with him forever.
Episode 14
At his mother’s funeral, Iwu’s estranged father appears. Unable to forgive his father for not quitting smoking, Iwu also blames himself. Cake comforts him, asking Iwu not to hold resentment or self-blame. Eventually, Iwu decides to go see his father.
