Hyun Joo enjoys her happy single career woman’s life. After a water accident in childhood, she realizes that she got married to the same guy in her past three lives which in turn makes her decide not to marry at all in this life. One day, an unexpected event happens to her and it rocks her life upside down.

Hyun Joo gets acknowledged by her colleagues as a competent webtoon producer, but she gets a pink slip from the company due to a conspiracy organized by some webtoon artists. The CEO of Sunwoo Pharmaceuticals, Hwang Ji Woo, runs into Hyun Joo in an elevator, but he collapses due to an unexpected accident.

When Hyun Joo’s mom found out she was fired in her job, her mom insisted to make Hyun Joo go on blind dates. During the the blind date, Do Gyum interrupted and ruined the talk. Her mom got furious and threaten that she must pay back 50,000 dollars when another blind date will be ruined. Do Gyum left his company, and Hyun Joo got scouted in another company.

To all of the encounters, Do Gyum found it suspicious. Ji Woo just once met Hyeon Ju in the elevator, then later scouted her in his company, then appeared in the blind date.

Hyeon Ju hears rumors that Ji Woo might be gay and becomes worried when Do Gyum and Ji Woo decide to become roommates. Hyeon Ju’s friends suggest that Do Gyum might also have feelings for Ji Woo, which makes her even more confused as to what she should do. Meanwhile, Do Gyum’s suspicions about Ji Woo continues to grow.

Concerned that Ji Woo might misconstrue his intention for moving in, Do Gyum blurts out that he and Hyeon Ju are dating. Hyeon Ju is baffled that Do Gyum chose her of all people to pretend to date. Meanwhile, Hyeon Ju and Do Gyum go to Mount Hambaek to do research for Do Gyum’s new webtoon. When the rain starts pouring down, Ji Woo chases after them.

Hyeon Ju hands in her resignation letter, but finding a new job doesn't go as smoothly as she planned. After a futile job search, she decides to use Ji Woo for her success. Ji Woo agrees to all of her demands for the Webtoon Business Team and keeps trying to apologize. Meanwhile, Do Gyum takes Hyeon Ju to a special place on their date.

Despite her intention to use him, Hyeon Ju finds herself feeling concerned and taking care of Ji Woo. When Ji Woo gets drunk at a team dinner, Hyeon Ju brings him home. Do Gyum doesn’t understand Hyeon Ju’s actions since she supposedly doesn’t like Ji Woo. Do Gyum gets jealous as he watches Hyeon Ju continuing to care for Ji Woo.

Hyeon Ju is flustered after hearing how Do Gyum feels about her. Meanwhile, Do Gyum gets called over by Hyeon Ju's parents who are curious to know about their relationship status. Just as Do Gyum tells Hyeon Ju’s parents that his feelings for Hyeon Ju are one-sided, Hyeon Ju comes over unannounced.

Someone posts about seeing Hyeon Ju and Ji Woo after their team dinner on an anonymous online forum. Rumors start to spread online about Hyeon Ju and Ji Woo's supposed relationship. Meanwhile, the Webtoon Business Team goes on its first workshop. Despite Hyeon Ju’s refusal, Ji Woo insists that he join in on the workshop.

Do Gyum becomes furious after reading Ji Woo's wish and causes a scene at the workshop. Meanwhile, Hyeon Ju's attention keeps wandering to Ji Woo's lips, because she thinks her visions are related to anything resembling a kiss with him. She decides to ask him to join her for drinks and attempts to trigger having a vision again.

As the Webtoon Business Team returns to daily life at the office after the workshop, Hyeon Ju just seems to get busier and busier. She even has to use her special support package for webtoon artists in hopes of securing a contract. Meanwhile, Chairwoman Kim pushes for the marriage between her daughter and Ji Woo.

Hyeon Ju gets surgery for acute appendicitis, so she has to be hospitalized for a couple of days. Ji Woo stays by her side and takes care of her. When Do Gyum hears the news, he rushes to the hospital and tells Ji Woo to leave. Do Gyum and Ji Woo try all means to stay next to Hyeon Ju. Meanwhile, Chairwoman Kim sees Ji Woo and Hyeon Ju together at the hospital.

Hyeon Ju gets back to work as soon as she gets discharged from the hospital. As she feels grateful toward Ji Woo for taking good care of her, she decides to keep the promise and grant Ji Woo’s wish. Later, they meet at Han Seo Hotel, and Ji Woo suggests something to Hyeon Ju.

Chairwoman Kim starts digging deep into Hyeon-ju, and she even visits the grave of Song Min Ju. Ji Woo finds out that Chairwoman Kim has visited the memorial park where Min Ju is buried and finds her suspicious. Meanwhile, Young Soon calls Ji Woo out to treat him to a meal.

Hyeon Ju meets Chairwoman Kim after getting a call from her. She tells Hyeon Ju to be careful of Ji Woo. Hyeon Ju gets the hypnotherapy that Ji Woo recommended and feels much at ease afterward. Meanwhile, the wedding anniversary party for Hyeon Ju’s parents is held, where Hyeon Ju makes a shocking statement.

Do Gyum tells Hyeon Ju how he feels about her, but Hyeon Ju doesn’t want to ruin their friendship or hurt him. Ji Woo meets Hyeon Ju to talk about what happened at the wedding anniversary party of Hyeon Ju’s parents and tells her that he was the one who brought up marriage to her mother.

Chairwoman Kim finds out that Ji Woo knows who Min Ju is and gets shocked. She then hurriedly calls Hyeon Ju and tells her that Ji Woo only likes her because she resembles his old lover. Confused and angry, Hyeon Ju asks Ji Woo who he truly loves.

Hyeon Ju realizes that it was Ji Woo whom she tried so hard to see in her dreams. She decides to go steady with Ji Woo and tells Do Gyum about it. Meanwhile, Seo Yoon decides to run away from home as she feels suffocated by her demanding mom.

Ji Woo meets Chairwoman Kim and accuses her of taking the music box from Kang Jin Ho’s columbarium niche. She pretends not to know about it, but when Ji Woo provokes her, she explodes. Meanwhile, a news article about Ji Woo’s engagement to Seo Yoon gets released, and everyone in the company gets shocked.

Ji Woo explains to Hyeon Ju that the article about his engagement to Seo Yoon is a false report and that it was all Chairwoman Kim’s doing. Ji Woo meets Chairwoman Kim to warn her to never pull a stunt like that again, but she provokes him by saying that Hyeon Ju will choose Do Gyum in the end.

Do Gyum gets sick, so Hyeon Ju affectionately takes care of him. Ji Woo gets jealous and concerned about Hyeon Ju’s relationship with Do Gyum, so he asks Hyeon Ju to cut ties with him. Hyeon Ju gets upset that Ji Woo doesn’t trust her, so the two of them end up having an argument.

Hyeon Ju tells Ji Woo that she doesn’t want to see him again. Seo Yoon finds a bag of shredded documents and photo which turn out to be Ji Woo’s medical record and the old photo of Min Ju and Jin Ho. She meets up with Do Gyum and shows what she found.

Do Gyum finally realizes why Ji Woo has been hostile towards him and obsessed with Hyeon Ju. He warns Ji Woo to never hurt Hyeon Ju again. Chairwoman Kim accuses Hyeon Ju of embezzling the company funds in a board meeting, and Hyeon Ju is put in a predicament. Right then, Ji Woo comes forward and tells everyone that he’ll take full responsibility for it.

Ji Woo holds an extraordinary general meeting where he announces that he’ll resign from his position. Amid the shock, Hyeon Ju tells Ji Woo to let her take care of everything, but Ji Woo tells her that he wants everything to stop and that he’s too tired to go on.

Hyeon Ju realizes that the documents she signed were fake and that Chairwoman Kim was behind everything. She looks for Kim Hyun Su, the guy from MD Venture Capital, but she has no luck. Min Jung helps Hyeon Ju by finding crucial evidence from her webcam, so Hyeon Ju heads to Ji Woo’s place to tell him. However, Ji Woo avoids seeing Hyeon Ju.

Hyeon Ju hands the evidence found on Min Ju’s webcam to Ji Woo. Ji Woo then meets up with Chairwoman Kim and tells her that everything is over. He also tells her that it’s all her fault that Min Ju and Woo Young died. Meanwhile, Seo Yoon leaves Ji Woo’s medical records on Hyeon Ju’s desk.

Although the issue regarding the company funds embezzlement has been solved, Ji Woo pursues on his transfer to the US branch. Hyeon Ju wants him to stay, but she can’t ask him. Knowing how the whole situation is torturing Hyeon Ju, Do Gyum urges Hyeon Ju to tell Ji Woo to stay.

After going through several tumultuous past lives, Hyeon Ju and Ji Woo are finally together. Everything seems to be smooth sailing, including their relationship and the launch of the webtoon platform. However, when Hyeon Ju’s parents come over unannounced, Hyeon Ju and Ji Woo get caught hiding in the closet together.

Do Gyum and Ji Woo have a bonding moment over some drinks and a bar brawl. Before the Platform Launching Party at Ji Woo’s house, Hyeon Ju finds out that Ji Woo purchased an engagement ring. She goes into panic mode but realizes that she must discuss her intentions not to marry with Ji Woo.

Hyeon Ju and Ji Woo finally come face to face with their different opinions on marriage. With some awkwardness and miscommunication between them, the couple has a hard time meeting up for Ji Woo's birthday celebrations. Then, Ji Woo returns home to find Hyeon Ju in a house full of smoke.

Do Gyum gets a new webtoon producer who is very enthusiastic about her new position. Meanwhile, Hyeon Ju’s parents object to Ji Woo marrying Hyeon Ju, but it’s actually a test to see if Ji Woo is worthy. Hyeon Ju’s webtoon is a big hit and she and Ji Woo decide on a future for their relationship that can make them both happy.
